Except for the above dates, taxes may be paid by APPOINTMENT ONLY or mailed to the above address. Drop Box available at Township Bldg.

PLEASE NO CASH OVER $99.00 DUE TO THE INCREASE IN COUNTERFEIT MONEY

FOR RECEIPTS: mail BOTH taxpayer’s and tax collector’s copy of the tax bill AND a pre addressed, STAMPED envelope

PLEASE ISSUE SEPARATE CHECKS if paying School and County/Township Taxes at the same time.

 IMPORTANT INFORMATION

  • RETURNED CHECKS:
    Service fee of $20
  • Any bills dated prior to September 1 are due and payable by December 10. Only money orders or certified check will be accepted.
  • All current real estate and twp. per capita bills unpaid by December 31 will be turned over for collection.
  • Postmark, NOT Check Date determines when tax is paid.
  • PAYMENTS BY YOUR BANKS ONLINE BILL PAY must include bill numbers or they will be returned
  • If you have sold your property – Please return the tax bill immediately with the name and address of the new owner.
  • If your real estate taxes are ESCROWED with your lender, you must forward a copy of your tax bill to your mortgage company. Always keep a copy of the tax bill for your records.
  • Per Capita Tax – If you do not live in Chanceford Township or are 17years of age or younger, you do not have to pay this tax. Please call me to let me know so that I can make to appropriate corrections.
